8 MAC Lipsticks for Fair Skin
I assume that every girl knows that not every shade of lipstick will look good on all skin tones. Finding the appropriate shade could be daunting, take me as an example. I’ve worn some of the horrible shades in the past. Finding lipsticks for fair skin is such a big challenge especially for me, finding colors for fair skin. I recently purchased my first MAC lipsticks. I quickly fell in love with the colors, how they looked and felt. It didn’t take long before I chose a bunch more. So, my little MAC lippy collection has expanded to a staggering number of 8 in about three weeks. Perhaps, I should slow down. This post can score as a “MAC collection” post too if you are into that kind of thing.
- MAC Syrup
The syrup is the quintessential “my-lips-but-better” color. It’s a mauve-pink shade that gives a “my-lips-but-better” feel. I find myself throwing this shade in my bag for days on the go. It perfectly works with my fair skin.
- MAC Crosswires
This is a super fun shade and is perfect for any girl who can’t wear orange color.
- MAC Plumful
This shade is similar to Syrup’s darker big sister. It still has a natural color that makes it so wearable, however, it has more plum tones.
- MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus
Here’s a story behind this shade: I first wanted to try the Girl About Town but the MAC girl in the store I was in insisted on trying this shade first. I fell in love with this shade after swatching both shades on my hand. Viva Glam Miley is so pigmented and super fun for me.
- MAC Russian Red
After seeing my best friend’s beautiful red lipstick in the wedding of my cousin, I decided that I need to have a matte red lipstick. You can tell that my love for MAC was going stronger at that time so I researched some of MAC’s red shades and came across to the MAC Russian Red and MAC Ruby Woo. The MAC Russian Red was a no brainer for me after swatching both shades. Such a bright, vivid, but still wearable red.
- MAC Lip Blossom
This lipstick was originally released in Asia only, but they put it on their permanent international list soon after. MAC labels it as a shimmery pink, and I this depends on your skin tone and lip color, but I see it as a much peachier in pink with gold shimmer. It arrives with the well-loved lustre finish that is known for being not too drying and not too creamy as well. This is the most used MAC lipstick of mine so far.
- MAC Lady Bug
I was obsessed with lady bugs when I was ten, and I knew right away that I would have this shade plainly because of the name. Luckily, the color lives up to the beautiful name as well! It looks like another pin up red in the tube, but it looks more like a sheer burnt orange color with a fresh tomato when applied to lips where it comes with a Lustre finish. Also, MAC describes it as a yellow tomato, and I can tell that they have nailed it. It is ideal for the summer and the fall and works well with most skin tones.
- MAC Heroine
This is a bright purple color where it is perfect for eccentric souls or rock concerts. Purple is one of my favorite colors and matte my favorite finish, so I knew right off the bat that I needed this one.
